Southern Solar is a team consisting of senior-level mechanical engineering students from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. 

The goal of the project was to design and build a solar-powered boat to compete in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge in July of 2023. We achieved this and were honored to receive their "Rookie of the Year" award. Updates will be added in the future as the team continues working on the boat and towards the next competition.
